Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of UK, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in the artist’s country of residence. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of UK.
Changes: We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL, with the effective date revised.
16. Hosting provider status
Sonora.Chat operates as a hosting service provider that stores and displays content submitted by artists and content retrieved from third-party platforms.
Sonora.Chat does not actively monitor, pre-screen, or control all content uploaded by users and does not assume ownership of such content.
All music, images, and other materials submitted to the platform are provided by the respective artists or third-party sources. Responsibility for the legality and ownership of such content remains solely with the submitting party.
Upon obtaining actual knowledge of alleged copyright infringement or unlawful content, Sonora.Chat will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material in question.
This provision is intended to comply with applicable safe harbor protections under intermediary liability laws, including but not limited to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar regulations.
17. Automated access restrictions
Users may not access or interact with Sonora.Chat through automated systems or software except through officially provided interfaces.
The following activities are strictly prohibited without prior written permission:
- scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from the platform
- using bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the service
- extracting large volumes of artist data, metadata, or search results
- bypassing or attempting to bypass security measures or rate limits
- reverse engineering or attempting to derive the platform’s internal systems or algorithms
Sonora.Chat reserves the right to block IP addresses, suspend access, or take legal action against users or systems that violate these restrictions.
18. Repeat copyright infringer policy
Sonora.Chat maintains a policy of terminating access for users or artists who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers.
If Sonora.Chat receives multiple valid copyright infringement notices concerning the same user or artist account, Sonora.Chat may, at its sole discretion:
- suspend the account temporarily
- permanently terminate the account
- remove associated content from the platform
Artists whose accounts are terminated under this policy may lose access to their artist pages and hosted content.
This policy is intended to comply with applicable copyright regulations and intermediary liability frameworks.
19. Prohibited content
Users and artists may not upload, publish, or distribute content through Sonora.Chat that:
- infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- violates privacy, publicity, or personality rights
- contains unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading material
- promotes violence, harassment, hate speech, or discrimination
- contains malware, malicious code, or attempts to compromise the platform’s security
- violates applicable laws or regulations
Sonora.Chat reserves the right to remove or restrict access to any content that violates these rules or that may expose the platform to legal risk.
20. Right to remove content
Sonora.Chat reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove, restrict, or disable access to any content available on the platform at any time and without prior notice.
This may include content that:
- violates these Terms of Service
- may infringe intellectual property rights
- may expose the platform to legal liability
- is subject to a legal complaint or takedown request
- is considered harmful to the integrity or operation of the platform
Removal of content under this clause does not create any obligation for Sonora.Chat to monitor or review all content uploaded to the platform.
21. Privacy policy
The processing of personal data on Sonora.Chat is governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using the platform, users acknowledge that they have read and understood the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Service.
22. Indemnification
The Artist agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sonora.Chat, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from:
- breach of these Terms
- false declarations regarding ownership of rights
- copyright or intellectual property infringement
- violation of applicable laws
This obligation includes reasonable legal costs and expenses incurred by Sonora.Chat in defending such claims.
23. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Sonora.Chat, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable policies referenced herein.
If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, label, or company, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Artists who register on the platform must actively accept these Terms of Service and the applicable Artist Distribution Agreement during the registration process before uploading or distributing any content.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.
Continued use of the platform following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
